Alexandria Jewelry Store Robbed Again

Police are looking for two men involved in a brazen smash-and-grab jewelry store robbery in Alexandria, Va., Thursday morning -- the second time this summer the family-owned store was hit this summer.

Two men armed with guns entered King’s Jewelry, busted a display case and ripped out some loot in front of seemingly unaware shoppers. Detectives have not said how much the men took.

Police bagged a hammer into evidence and will review surveillance video.

Last week, police arrested 50-year-old Cedric Earles and charged him in the theft of a $25,000 diamond ring from the store in July.

“It's not a high crime area,” said Ashley Hildebrandt of the Alexandria Police Department. “This is a very unusual incident for this area of Alexandria.”
