Sketch Released in Stafford Abduction, Attempted Sexual Assault

Man claimed he had a gun

Stafford County deputies have released the sketch of a man who abducted and tried to sexually assault a 22-year-old woman.

The victim told authorities that on Nov. 27 she was approached by a man while she was outside of a friend’s house off Shasta Place in Stafford, Va. The man told her he had a gun and forced her to a wooded area nearby. The man began choking and punching the victim before trying to sexually assault her.

The victim tried kicking the suspect off of her and was finally able to break free when the attacker’s phone began to ring and he ran away, according to a Stafford Sheriff’s Office press release.

Deputies are also investigating phone calls the victim received earlier in the day from an unknown man calling from a blocked number. The victim said that man asked to meet with her, but she said no.

The man in the abduction and attempted sexual assault is described as black, approximately 6’0 - 6’2, in his thirties with short, tight hair twists and thick bushy eyebrows.  The suspect also has scaring along his cheeks (possible acne scars) with facial hair on the chin.

Stafford County deputies are asking anyone with information about the case to call them.
