A fire damaged three townhouses, leaving 9 people displaced in Montgomery County.
The fire broke out Sunday night inside a middle unit in the 2000 block of Lyttonsville Road in Silver Spring.
Firefighters said the two alarm fire was so intense it caused the first floor to collapse into the basement where the fire started.
The fire quickly spread upstairs and to two other adjoining townhomes.
