87-Year-Old Man's TV Replaced After Brutal Beating, Robbery

An 87-year-old man brutally beaten during a robbery at his home Friday received two TVs to replace the one that was stolen.

A Prince George's County police officer saw the story about the attack on Oliver Daff Friday in Glen Burnie, Md., and was moved to act.

Cpl. Tank Miceli and two other officers pooled their money to buy Daff a new TV just in time for Sunday’s Baltimore Ravens game. Daff also received a TV from a Baltimore businessman.

"I think it meant a lot to him," Miceli said. "I think it comforted him a little bit to know there are some folks out there that care about him."

Miceli said he hopes Daff gets a house full of TVs.

Police have made no arrests in the robbery.
