“68” Vandals Make Their Mark Again

Vandals spray-painting the number "68" on cars around Loudoun County, Va., appear to have struck again.

The Loudoun County Sheriff's Office said roughly a dozen cars in three locations in Sterling were vandalized late Monday night and early Tuesday.

The "68" tag was found on vehicles in the 100 block of Applegate Court, the 200 block of Pine Oak Court and the 700 block of East Staunton Avenue.

Previous tagging incidents have also taken place in Ashburn and Lansdowne.

Investigators said more than 40 cars have been spray-painted with the mysterious number since the vandalism spree began on April 30.

There have been no arrests.

The "68" tag is still a mystery.

"We don’t really have an answer for that yet, " said Loudoun County Sheriff Steve Simpson to the Loudoun Times.
