Police arrested a 60-year-old Virginia woman in the suspicious death of a 64-year-old woman.
Arlington County police responded to a report of a stabbing in the 5100 block of 8th Road S about 10 a.m. Tuesday.
Officers found Alice Carter of Arlington suffering from trauma, police said. She was taken to a hospital where she was pronounced dead.
The incident was a result of dispute between two people who knew each other, police said.
Linda Snow of Arlington is charged with second-degree murder and is being held without bond.
The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner will determine the exact cause of death.
