5,000 DC Residents Sit Down to Thanksgiving Dinner at Feast of Sharing

Safeway and the Salvation Army fed more than 5,000 residents at the annual Feast of Sharing dinner at the Washington Convention Center. People from all eight wards were invited to the event, which also included live music and a health and community services expo, which offered free flu shots and health checks. More than 1,000 volunteers helped serve those Thanksgiving dinners.
