SPOILER ALERT: 4 to Watch; Last Day of Gymnastics

On Day 11 of the Olympic Games, Simone Biles tried for another gold medal; the world's reigning triple jumper tried to defend his medal; local boxer Gary Russell fought in his quarterfinals and men will compete in the 3m springboard diving finals.

Here are four of the biggest Things to Watch during the Summer Games on Tuesday. Read no further if you want to be surprised when gymnastics air in prime time: 

1) Simone Biles Goes for Fourth Gold Medal

On the final day of gymnastics, Team USA superstar gymnast Simone Biles soared to her fourth Olympic gold medal on Tuesday, winning the floor exercise. The 4-foot-8 powerhouse earned a 15.966.

Aly Raisman won a silver medal after a routine that included a perfect double layout. She scored 15.500, which was enough to beat Britain's Amy Tinkler, who won a bronze medal with a 14.933 score.

Biles will return home with four golds and a bronze. Raisman now has six Olympic medals. She won gold on the floor in London.

Danell Leyva won two silver medals, on high bar and parallel bars. Leyva went last on the bar and his score pushed Team USA's Sam Mikulak out of a bronze medal.

2) Christian Taylor Defends Triple Jump Gold Medal

Team USA's Christian Taylor successfully defended his Olympic triple jump gold medal Tuesday. 

He set a season-leading mark of 17.86 on his first attempt and posted the three best jumps of the competition.

Taylor claimed a gold medal at the London Olympics and won the 2015 World Championships. He switched his lead leg in 2013 after he developed pain in his left knee. He compared the adjustment to starting to shoot a basketball layup with the opposite hand.

3 ) Maryland Boxer Fights in Quarterfinals

Prince George's County's own Gary Russell lost his fight with Fazliddin Gaibnazarov of Uzbekistan 2-1.

Russell, a 20-year-old who weighs in at 141 pounds, was his family's second chance at a gold medal. As News4's Tracee Wilkins reported, Russell's older brother was devastated when he was unable to compete in the Beijing Olympics.

4) Watch the Men's 3m Springboard Diving Finals

Some of the best divers in the world will compete in the men's 3m springboard final Tuesday evening. Diving diehards will want to watch the semifinals first, at 9 a.m.

Team USA's Kristian Ipsen and Michael Hixon made it to the final. Hixon was in fourth place with 467.25 points.

China's Yuan Cao came in first in the semifinals, with 489.10. Mexico's Rommel Pacheco followed.

China's Cao Yuan took first place in the preliminary amid high winds. He finished with 498.70 points. Ipsen finished third, with 461.35 points. Hixon finished in 10th place, with 421.60 points.
