Police have released the names of a mother and her three children who died in an apparent murder-suicide in Albemarle County.
Albemarle County police identified the mother as 49-year-old Elizabeth Walton.
Her children were identified as Lily Katherine Romando and Andrew Ross Romando, both minors, and 19-year-old Noah Philip Romando. The minors' ages were not released.
Police say in a news release that officers found three of the deceased inside a residence on Stony Point Road in Keswick after responding to a 911 call around 11:45 p.m. Tuesday. The fourth person died several hours later at an area hospital.
Police haven't said how they died, but a gun was involved.
The investigation is continuing but police believe it was an isolated incident.
