Four high school students were injured after a crash sent a car barreling into them as they stood at a bus stop in Aspen Hill.

The students were standing at a bus stop near Wendy Lane and Georgia Avenue at 7 a.m. Tuesday when two cars collided in the northbound lanes of Georgia Avenue, sending one of the vehicles onto the sidewalk and into the group.

Fire officials say seven people were hit; five of them, including the driver of the stricking vehicle, were taken to the hospital. One of the students was seriously injured.

The students attend Kennedy High School, which is located about four miles away from the bus stop. Montgomery County police spokesman Paul Starks said the students are between 14- and 15-years-old.

No one has been charged with a crime and police are still investigating.
