A ramp onto 3rd Street Tunnel is closed late Tuesday after a car crash that injured people and knocked a light pole onto train tracks, officials said.
The crash occurred on the northbound ramp from I-695 west to 3rd Street Tunnel, a message sent about 11:35 p.m. by the AlertDC system said. People were injured in the two-car crash, the alert said.
A light pole was knocked off its base on the freeway and crashed down onto CSX train tracks, officials said.
