Police have arrested three teenagers in connection with a fatal beating in southwest Washington.
Government attorney Mark Blank, 56, suffered severe head trauma during the Oct. 6 attack. He died Thursday.
Blank was walking at about 9 p.m. near his home in the 1000 block of Sixth Street when he was jumped by as many as four people, police said. He was rushed to the hospital with swelling in his brain.
The attack on Blank could be connected to a string of similar beatings that happened that night, police said.
The teens were identified only as a 13-year-old, a 14-year-old, and a 15-year-old.
Blank worked at the Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation in Northwest, and his co-workers said he devoted his career to helping people.
