3-Month-Old Baby Found Safe After Going Missing in Prince George's County: Police

A 3-month-old baby boy has been found safe in Prince George's County, Maryland, after the child's mother told police she didn't know who she gave him to, police say.

The mother told police on Tuesday she gave her son, Ludwig Umanzor-Luna, to a woman on Monday, but she couldn't remember who the woman was or where she left the infant, police said.

Prince George's County Police Chief Hank Stawinski said a woman who was taking care of the baby called police when she saw the boy's photo on the news and he is safe.

Medics will give Ludwig check-up to make sure he is okay, Stawinski said.

Authorities have contacted child protective services.
