3 Arrested After Fight Between MS-13, 18th Street Gang Members at Maryland High School: Police

Three teens were arrested at a high school in Hyattsville, Maryland, Wednesday after a fight broke out between gang members, police say.

Hyattsville Police say a 16-year-old student who is a member of MS-13 got into a fight with a 19-year-old student who is a member of the 18th Street gang at Northwestern High School.

During the fight in a stairwell, the 16-year-old pulled out a sharp object and swung it at the 19-year-old, police said.

Officers and school security responded and found both teens with minor cuts.

They were taken to local hospitals and later released, police said.

The 16-year-old student and two other students, ages 14 and 15, are in police custody. Police are not releasing their identities because they are juveniles.
