D.C. Police are investigating an two-car accident that sparked a fire in Petworth early Sunday morning.
Investigators say that the cars collided in the 4700 block of Georgia Avenue at approximately 5:00 a.m. Sunday. It is not clear exactly how the fire started.
D.C. Police say that three people were taken to the hospital as a result of the accident. One of the victims had severe burns. Their names and conditions were not immediately available.
