More than two dozen new, eco-friendly buses are entering service in Washington.
District of Columbia Mayor Muriel Bowser will introduce the new DC Circulator buses on Tuesday. The city says in a statement that the buses are the first wave of DC Circulator buses that will use clean diesel technology to reduce emissions and improve reliability.
The office says the 26 buses, which have amenities including USB charging ports and screens that display information, will enter service this week.
Officials say a second wave of DC Circulator buses expected in the fall will include 14 buses that operate on battery-electric power.
