$2,500 Reward Being Offered in Death of Spotsylvania Woman

A $2,500 reward is being offered for information that leads to an arrest in the December 2015 death of a 21-year-old Virginia woman.

Heather Ciccone was found shot to death in her car in a Spotsylvania County driveway on Dec. 6, 2015.

Ciccone's parents say she received a call at about 9:30 p.m. that night and told them a friend's car had broken down. She left her family's house in Spotsylvania around that time. It was the last time they saw her alive.

An hour and half later, a resident in the 10300 block of Piney Branch Road called police and said an unfamiliar car was parked in his driveway, police said.

The car was Ciccone's, and her body was found inside.

Shortly after her death, the Spotsylvania County Sheriff's Office released photos of Ciccone's car, a silver Kia that had "I [heart] you" written in paint on the back window, with a winking smiley face.

But in nearly five months, no arrests have been made in Ciccone's death.

A $2,500 reward is being offered for information that leads to an arrest and conviction.

“We urge anyone that has information about her murder to please contact a detective so we can have justice for Heather," Ciccone's family said.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Spotsylvania County Sheriff's Office at 540-507-7103.
