24 Karat Boxing Belt Stolen in Annapolis

The British Empire “Lonsdale” belt was a family heirloom

A 24 karat gold championship boxing belt was stolen last Thursday night from an Annapolis home in a burglary.

Police responded to the 100 block of South Winchester Road in Annapolis for a reported burglary on March 8. According to police, there was no sign of forced entry but there were several items missing, like the homeowner’s seven to nine pound British Empire “Lonsdale” belt.

The boxing belt is a family heirloom and is named after Lord Lonsdale of Great Britain, complete with his picture in the middle.

Police have identified one vehicle of interest in this case, an older model faded red car seen with two males inside.
