The numbers 5-2-9 will be lucky for some babies born in Virginia on Wednesday.
The Virginia529 College Savings Plan says it will award college savings accounts to 20 babies born closest to 5:29 p.m. Wednesday at participating hospitals.
The accounts are valued at $529 each.
Virginia529 CEO Mary G. Morris says in a news release that most parents believe attending college is important for their children's future. But most aren't regularly saving to pay the costs of a college education.
Wednesday's giveaway is part of the state plan's celebration of National 529 College Savings Day.
