A man shot another man during an argument at Union Station in D.C. on Monday afternoon, police say.
D.C. police said the men were having a fight in the parking garage area when one of them opened fire on the other about 3 p.m.
A private security officer and Capitol Police officers immediately stopped the suspect, police said.
The victim was taken to a hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Marlon Trevor Bacote, of Richmond, Virginia, is charged with assault with a dangerous weapon, carrying a pistol without a license, possession of an unregistered ammunition, possession of an unregistered firearm/unlawful possession of a firearm or destructive device, and possession of a large ammunition feeding device.
Police said a firearm with a "high-capacity magazine" was recovered.
There were closures in the bus deck area as police investigated.
