2 Horses Found Dead in Field at Va. Farm

The horses were found Friday morning

Police in Prince William County are investigating what they say are "suspicious circumstances" surrounding the deaths of two horses in Nokesville.

The two horses were found in a field at Four Winds Farm at 13350 Vint Hill Road between 6 a.m. and 7 a.m. Friday. One of them, a ten-year-old thoroughbred cross mare was already dead. The other, a quarter horse gelding palomino, was seriously injured and had to be euthanized. The exact locations and extent of the injuries to the animals was not known.
