2 Killed, 2 Injured in Early Morning Fairfax House Fires

A man and a woman were killed and two other adults were injured in an early morning house fire in Fairfax, Virginia. 

Firefighters were called to the 11400 block of Popes Head Road about 2:30 a.m. Tuesday for a fire. When they arrived at the scene, fire was coming from all four sides of the 1-story home, Battalion Chief Willie Bailey of the Fairfax County Fire Department said. 

A man and woman were killed in the fire. Bailey said one person died inside the home while the other died on the way to the hospital.

The victims have not been identified. 

The two adults injured are in critical condition.  

The cause of the fire is under investigation, but firefighters say the blaze began in a back bedroom.
