2 Children, Man Hurt in Drive-By Shooting in Southeast DC

The victims suffered injuries that are not life-threatening, police say

A toddler, a young girl and a man waiting at a Southern Avenue bus stop were all hurt in a drive-by shooting, police say.

A 3-year-old boy, a 6-year-old girl and a 20-year-old man were waiting at a bus stop on the 800 block of Southern Avenue SE late Saturday when a dark-colored sedan drove by, police say. The driver of the sedan opened fire, hitting all three victims, police say.

They were all transported to a hospital with injuries that were not considered life-threatening, police say.

Police are looking for the shooter, who was driving a dark-colored car with tinted windows. They were traveling westbound on Southern Avenue, according to police.
