2 Children Hurt When Car Runs Into Creek in Landover

Two children were hospitalized and an adult is seriously hurt after a crash in Landover, Maryland, Saturday, authorities say.

A car ran off the side of eastbound US-50 near Landover Road and into a creek about 6:15 p.m., Prince George's County Fire and EMS said.

First responders rescued three people from the car. Two children were hurt and an adult had serious injuries that are non-life threatening, fire officials said.

It's unclear at this time why the car crashed off the side of the road.

Editor's Note (Sunday, Nov. 10): Officials now say the children were not critically injured in the crash.
