2 Victims Identified in Fiery Crash Near Dulles Airport

Police said 28-year-old Subid Singh and 29-year-old Anjil Thapa were so badly burned in the crash that they could not be identified immediately

Police in Fairfax County have identified the two people who died in a fiery crash near Dulles Airport Saturday morning.

Police said 28-year-old Subid Singh and 29-year-old Anjil Thapa were the two people who were so badly burned that first responders could not identify them after the crash.

Police relied on a gold chain and a tattoo of an eagle on one man's chest as the only clues to help identify the victims.

According to police, the driver of a gray SUV was speeding along Route 28 near the McLearan Road exit when they drove off the road and struck a utility pole. Both men died at the scene.

Police initially struggled to identify the type of vehicle because it was so badly mangled in the crash.
