Two D.C. men were shot and killed Wednesday night in Capitol Heights, Maryland, officials said.
Garland Johnson, 43, and Ernest Lott, 37, died in a double homicide on the 6800 block of Central Avenue, Prince George's County Police said Thursday afternoon in an update.
Police were called to the block about 7:45 p.m. p.m. Wednesday and found the two men outside an apartment building. They were pronounced dead at the scene.
Johnson lived on 5th Street in Northeast D.C. and Lott lived on Clay Street, police said.
The crime does not appear to be random, police said. Detectives are working to identify a suspect and motive. A $25,000 reward is being offered.
