    Parents Mourn Deaths of 2 Young Women in Reston Crash

    Tonnisha McCoy, 21, and Joselyn Herndon, 23, were killed in a car crash early Sunday on Fairfax County Parkway in Reston. Both women had bright fugures. Herndon had a daughter. News4's David Culver reports.

    Two women died and two other people were injured in a crash on a Northern Virginia highway.

    Fairfax County Police responded about 2 a.m. Sunday to the crash site off Fairfax County Parkway in Reston.

    They believe the driver of a 2004 Acura MDX lost control and left the roadway. Preliminarily, they believe speed and alcohol may have been factors in the crash.

    At least one other vehicle was present during the crash and remained when officers arrived, police said.

    Two people were killed early Sunday in a car crash in Reston, Virginia. Four others were hospitalized. News4's Derrick Ward reports.

    Twenty-one-year-old Tonnisha McCoy of Sterling and 23-year-old Joselyn Herndon of Reston were pronounced dead at the scene. Two others were injured.

    Police said Sunday they were still trying to piece together exactly what happened. Alcohol and excess speed have not been ruled out as factors. 

    Joselyn Herndon's family is raising money for her funeral and her 2-year-old daughter via a GoFundMe page.
