3 Dead in Homicide String

Three homicides took place within several hours in southeast D.C. on Friday evening.

Shortly after 11:50 p.m. Friday, police were called to the 3000 block of Nelson Place in Southeast where they found the body of a woman who had been stabbed to death.

The victim was identified as 36-year-old Selina J. Knight of Southeast Washington.
She was found inside a home on Nelson Place where the stabbing occurred, police said Saturday.

Three hours later, gunfire killed a woman on the 4700 block of B Street.  Authorities said 36-year-old Vanessa McGee was the victim of what may have been a domestic dispute.  A suspect in the murder has been apprehended. 

Around 30 minutes later, police from the cityโ€™s seventh district were called to a home in the 3100 block of Buena Vista Terrace in Southeast.

There they found a man suffering from a gunshot wound, and medical personnel called to the said the victim showed no signs of life, according to police.

The shooting victim has been identified as 20-year-old Henry Kelly of Southeast.

Police have not released information on possible suspects in the killings.
