Police: Man Confesses to Stabbing Death in Greenbelt

A man arrested for a different crime confessed to police that he stabbed and killed a man in Greenbelt, Maryland, during a physical altercation on May 5.

Detectives said Rodrick Achue Cheg, 20, of Greenbelt, was arrested on an unrelated warrant and said he stabbed Jean Marie Acha, 19, of Greenbelt. 

Officers found Acha with multiple stab wounds in the 7200 block of South Ora Court on May 5, police said.

Cheg was charged with first-degree murder, second-degree murder, first-degree assault and second-degree assault. He is being held at the Department of Correction without bail.
