18-Year-Old Woman Fatally Struck by Car in Silver Spring

An 18-year-old woman was fatally struck by a car early Thursday morning in the White Oak area of Silver Spring. 

The victim has been identified as Michelle Sena Hoyah of Rockville.

Hoyah was crossing Route 29 between New Hampshire Avenue and Oak Leaf Drive about 6 a.m. when she was hit by a 2011 Toyota Camry headed south on Route 29, according to a preliminary investigation by Montgomery County Police.

She was rushed to a local hospital, where she died.

Authorities said a 35-year-old White Oak resident was driving the Toyota.
