18-Year-Old Pleads Guilty to Killing 14-Year-Old in Virginia

An 18-year-old Virginia man pleaded guilty to first-degree murder last week for killing a distant relative in May.

Colins Rodriguez told the detective who investigated the case that he hit 14-year-old Luis “Erick” Coco Crespo four to five time with a hammer and tied his arms and legs with cord.

The victim’s sister found him dead in his bedroom in a Dale City townhome and called 911.

Police sources told News4's Northern Virginia Bureau Rodriguez attacked Coco Crespo because he told on him for offering him marijuana. Rodriguez waited to make his move until Coco Crespo’s grandfather died and his parents returned to Bolivia.
