16-Year-Old Dies After Being Hit by Car

A 16-year-old girl died after being struck by a car while she walked in Prince George’s County.

It happened just before 10 p.m. Tuesday at the intersection of Marlboro Pike and Tanow Place in District Heights.
 
Police said officers found her in the road unconscious. She was transported to a local hospital where she died this morning from her injuries.
 
Police said the driver remained on scene. They do not believe speed or alcohol were involved.
