10 Suspects Sought in Series of Snatch-and-Grab Robberies on Halloween Night

Police are seeking about 10 suspects in a series of snatch-and-grab robberies with force in Georgetown and other Northwest D.C. neighborhoods within an hour of each other on Halloween night.

The suspects, both male and female, are believed to be between 17 and 18 years old, police said. DC police said they will investigate the case on Prospect Street as potentially motivated by bias and could be eventually prosecuted as a hate crime.

They took several phones and, in some cases, hit the victims.

Police said the robberies took place at the following times and locations:

  • 10 p.m.: 3100 block of M Street, Northwest
  • 10:05 p.m.: Cathedral and Connecticut avenues, Northwest
  • 10:21 p.m.: 2400 block of Pennsylvania Avenue Northwest
  • 10:30 p.m.: 2700 block of 29th Street Northwest
  • 10:46 p.m.: 3400 block of  Prospect Street Northwest
