A motorcyclist died in a crash in Alexandria, Virginia, on Saturday, police said.
Witnesses told News4 that the motorcyclist was traveling on Patrick Street Saturday when the driver lost control and careened into oncoming traffic that was stopped at a light. The motorcycle driver fell off his bike, witnesses said.
The driver was given CPR and taken to the hospital with serious injuries.
Alexandria police later said the motorcyclist succumbed to their injuries.
Some roads were closed in the area of Wilkes Street and Duke Street, police said. The roads have since reopened.
