A train struck a car in Frederick County, Maryland, early Tuesday, injuring one person in the car.
The accident happened at the railroad crossing on Ijamsville Road just after 4 a.m. Tuesday. First responders arrived to find a locomotive crashed into a 2009 Jaguar that had stopped in the tracks, authorities said.
The driver of the car, Nolan D. Clifford of Frederick, was taken to an area hospital with minor injuries.
It's not clear why the car was stopped on the tracks. Authorities do not believe alcohol was a factor.
The Frederick County Sheriff's Office and CSX are investigating.
