Police in Washington say one person is dead after a shooting on Kentucky Avenue in southeast.
Police said in a statement that they were called to the 700 block of Kentucky Avenue SE around 1:30 a.m. Saturday. Police say when they arrived they found an adult female suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. Police say the woman died at the scene, which is about a block away from the Potomac Avenue Metro station.
Police identified the woman as 40-year-old Stephanie Goodloe of Washington. Police did not say what may have led to the shooting or give any information about a suspect or suspects.
