Man Hit, Killed by Metro Transit Police Vehicle in Prince George's County

One person is dead after a crash involving a pedestrian in Brandywine, Maryland, Maryland State Police said.  

The crash happened in the area of Crain Highway and Chadds Ford Drive shortly after noon on Monday. Investigators said a vehicle being driven by a Metro Transit Police K-9 officer stuck the man. 

Police have not released any details about the crash but said the northbound lanes of Crain Highway will be closed for an undetermined amount of time.

The identity of the victim has not been released.
