One person was killed in a crash Sunday morning on the GW Parkway that closed down northbound lanes.
U.S. Park Police say a driver ran off the road and into the woods on the parkway between VA-123 and the exit to the Beltway.
There was only one person in the car, and they did not survive the crash, police say.
U.S. Park Police say they responded about 5:45 a.m.
Northbound lanes were back open by 10 a.m.
