1 Killed, 2 Injured in Collision With Parked Concrete Truck

One person was killed and two were injured when a car struck a parked concrete truck about noon Monday in Landover, Md.

A northbound Dodge Charger struck a flashing emergency road work sign and a Ford Expedition on Landover Road before striking a truck carrying 17 tons of concrete to pour a sidewalk near Firehouse Road. The truck moved only a few inches.

The driver of the Charger, 37-year-old Tyronski Johnson of Bowie, was pronounced dead at the scene. Two passengers -- a 28-year-old woman and a 23-year-old man -- were taken to an area hospital in critical condition.
