1 Dead in Crash Near Holocaust Museum

A man was killed in a crash near the United States Holocaust Museum Monday night. 

U.S. Park Police say the driver was traveling south on Raoul Wallenberg Place SW near Maine Avenue SW when he lost control and crashed into a large tree. His car then caught fire.

Emergency crews found the driver dead inside the car when they arrived at the scene. Investigators are trying to determine whether the man died as a result of the crash or fire.

The victim has yet not been identified.

All roads in the area have reopened.
