Metrobus Driver Arrested After Fight With Passenger

A Metrobus driver got in a fight with a passenger Friday morning, according to Metro officials.

Metro police arrested 23-year Metro veteran Vento Mickens. He allegedly had a disagreement with a passenger about the fare at Georgia Avenue and Van Buren Street in Northwest at about 5:30 a.m., and that escalated to a fight, Metro said.

The passenger suffered minor injuries.

Mickens was charged with simple assault, the Washington Examiner reported. He is off active driving duty while authorities investigate.
