Is the Internet Putting Tech-Savvy at Top of New Social Order?

Scientist: Surfing Net Changes Our Brains

A UCLA scientist says we are actually evolving, and part of it is related to the Internet.

Researchers speculate that computer skills improve our ability to make quick decisions and efficiently filter information.

Researchers say too many computer users are losing face-to-face social skills because they spend too much time alone.

According to an article from the Times of India, people who surf the net constantly are moving to the top of the new social order.

The scientist said that while technology can accelerate learning and boost creativity it can have drawbacks as it can create Internet addicts whose only friends are virtual and has sparked a dramatic rise in Attention Deficit Disorder diagnoses.
