First Lady Michelle Obama Announcing School Meal Changes in NoVa

Celeb chef Rachel Ray will also appear

First lady Michelle Obama will join Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack and celebrity chef Rachael Ray at a school in northern Virginia to announce healthy changes to school meals in lunchrooms across the country.

The trio will appear at Parklawn Elementary in Alexandria.  They'll roll out new guidelines for school meals, calling for less sodium, more, grains, and more fruits and vegetables on the side.

One lunchroom favorites is also getting a change. Pizza is expected to be made with healthier ingredients.

This will be the first major nutritional overhaul of school meals in 15 years.  The change in guidelines are designed to combat childhood obesity.

The new guidelines would apply to free and reduced-cost meals subsidized by the federal government. Some of the changes could take place as soon as the next school year, while others would be phased in over time.
