An app can save you more on prescriptions than your insurance does.
Whether or not you have insurance, Rx Saver is an easy way to save up to 50 percent on prescription drugs.
Type in the prescription drug you need and your zip code and Rx Saver searches for the lowest prices in your area. Print out the coupon, take it to the pharmacy and tell the pharmacist you want to use the coupon instead of insurance.
“People don't know that insurance isn't always the cheapest, so you can really see the prices vary from place to place, store to store, from $5, $10, $15, sometimes a $20 difference,” savings expert Sara Skirboll said. “It's quite fascinating.”
Rx Saver does not ask for any personal information, not even your name, and it's free.
