Call it the shoe hurled 'round the world.
Though it's been nearly four months since an Iraqi reporter threw his shoes at President Bush during a press conference, the shoe hurl is apparently still in vogue -- and Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad appears to be the latest victim of the footwear faux pas.

The items were thrown before the convoy sped away from the scene, Haaretz.com reported.
Riots had erupted in the city before the shoe-hurling incident when an elderly pedestrian trying to hand Ahmadinejad a letter was recently harmed, the site reported.
