Rihanna Will Sing in Court: Lawyer

Despite Rihanna's apparent decision to take back her allegedly-abusive boyfriend, Chris Brown, the songbird's lawyer, Donald Etra, said she would testify in the case against him -- if required.

"She is planning to do everything the law requires her to do," Etra told UsMagazine.com today. "If she is required to testify, she will do so."

Etra was present on Thursday night when Brown was in a Los Angeles court to face the felony charges against him. The arraignment was put on hold until April 6.

He appeared friendly with Brown and even shook the R&B crooner's hand.

Etra has said that Rihanna wants the whole case to be over as soon as possible.

"The fact is, Rihanna desires that it be quick and expeditious," Etra told UsMagazine.com. "She wants to get back to her life and her career."

Meanwhile, Chris Brown was spotted by TMZ's cameras in the wee hours of the morning in LA -- perhaps after a night of partying.

Clad in a dark hoody and jeans, Brown left the SLS Hotel and hopped in what looked like a waiting Cadillac Escalade. He may have been celebrating the fact he will be able to go at least one more month without having to face the felony charges leveled against him.

And while Brown might have been surprised when he was charged with two felonies, but the most shocking element from his court appearance is the gritty details of the alleged Grammy night beat-down of Rihanna contained in a court documents.

"I'm going to beat the s--t out of you when we get home," Brown screamed at the pop princess moments after they left Clive Davis' pre-Grammys party. "You wait and see!"

It started around 12:25 am, when Rihanna spied a scandalous "three-page text message" from someone that Brown had "a previous sexual relationship with," according to a court affadavit, filed Thursday, that offers a grim narrative Rihanna's 30-minute nightmare.

"A verbal argument ensued" while the couple sped through Hollywood in Brown's rented silver Lamborghini, the affidavit reports.

Brown then began punching Rihanna with the right hand while he steered the car with the left, and he "shoved her head against the passenger window of the vehicle causing an approximate one inch raised circular contusion," the papers say.

"The assault caused [Rihanna's] mouth to fill with blood and blood to spatter all over her clothing and the interior of the vehicle," the papers state.

Rihanna tried to call her personal assistant. Jennifer "Rosales did not answer the telephone but while her voicemail greeting was playing" Rihanna faked a conversation, the affidavit states.

"I'm on my way home," she said. "Make sure the cops are there when I get there."

Then Brown erupted

"You just did the stupidest thing ever." Brown screamed. "Now I'm really going to kill you."

He then "resumed punching [Rihanna] and she interlocked her fingers behind her head and brought her elbows forward to protect her face" which later led to multiple bruises on her arms.

Moments later she tried text messaging another assistant, Melissa Forde, for help, but Brown grabbed her cell phone and "threw it out of the window onto an unknown street."

Then she went for Brown's cell phone, which was sitting on his lap, "She picked up the cellular phone" but "Before she could make a call he placed her in a headlock with his right hand," the papers said. "Brown pulled [her]. close to him and bit her on the left ear. She was able to feel the vehicle swerving from right to left as Brown sped away."

Brown then pulled over and put her in a headlock "and she began to lose consciousness," the affidavit filed states.

She "began attempting to gouge his eyes in an attempt to free herself."

"Brown bit her left ring and middle fingers and then released her," the papers state.

"While Brown continued to punch her, she turned around and placed her back against the passenger door. She brought her knees to her chest, placing her feet against Brown's body and began pushing him away."

Rihanna's nightmare didn't end until she "began screaming for help and Brown exited the vehicle" in the city's Hancock Park neighborhood.

By 12:55 officers had arrived and began photographing the starlet for what has now become an infamous picture of unchecked abuse.
