Biden Called Obama Cross Between Denzel & FDR: Pal

Bottom line - he got game.

Joe Biden depicted Barack Obama as "a cross between Denzel Washington and Franklin Roosevelt," a pal told a Scottish magazine.

The British politician at the center of Biden's plagiarism scandal in the 1980s said the vice president told him Obama was a "genius" and predicted the then-Senator's win in the Democratic primaries during a conversation they had in Oct. 2007, according to an interview published in the Big Issue Scotland.

Neil Kinnock, whose speeches were lifted by Biden during his 1988 campaign, said the veep compared the new commander in chief to the hunky mega-watt star and venerated politician during the presidential race.

"I remember speaking to Joe and him saying it was going to be Barack Obama up against John McCain. He said, 'You can put money on it -- Obama's a genius,'" Kinnock dished.

"I said, What kind of genius? Like who?' He said, 'Well, there isn't one person I could compare him to, but he's like a cross between Denzel Washington and Franklin Roosevelt.'"

Kinnock attended Obama's inauguration in January after Biden personally invited him.
