N. Texan Only American in Running for “Best Job in the World”

Host of online tech show is only American to make "Best Job in the World" finalist list

A North Texas woman is the only remaining American in the Tourism Queensland "Best Job in the World" competition.

The "Best Job in the World" comes with an all-expense-paid, six-month stay in Queensland, Australia, and a $100,000 salary. The winning candidate will blog, Twitter and create videos about Queensland and the Great Barrier Reef.

Cali Lewis is currently the host of Geek Brief TV, and online tech show that profiles the latest gadgets and gizmos, a gig she said has prepared her for "The Best Job in the World."

"I love producing video," she said. "I love blogging, I love spending my day on the Internet."

The field has been narrowed down to 16 out of 35,000 applicants from around the world.

"It's an amazing opportunity," Lewis said. "It would be so much fun to snorkel, feed the fish and let everyone across the world experience what I am experiencing."

Lewis leaves for Australia at the end of April for interviews from May 3-6.
