Inaugural Rehearsal Open to Public

Two rehearsals planned

Just a reminder that if you can't make it to President-elect Barack Obama's inauguration or just don't want to fight the crowds on Jan. 20, there's another way to check out all the pomp and circumstance surrounding the swearing-in ceremony.

There will be two rehearsals for the inauguration this Sunday (Jan. 11) at the Capitol, and they will be open to the public, according to TheDCTraveler.com.  The first starts at about 5:30 a.m. and could including a few starts and stops to get timing down.  The second rehearsal will run nonstop and should be done by about 9 a.m.

Sure, Obama won't be there, but you can find some entertainment in who is picked for his stand-in, and you can still listen to the military bands practice "Hail to the Chief."
