At least 14 people were killed and many more injured in Barcelona, Spain, Thursday, Aug. 17, 2017, after a white van jumped a curb and slammed into people on a busy sidewalk, police said. The alleged driver fled the scene of the crash. South of Barcelona in Cambrils, police killed five suspects after authorities said they also drove a car into people, injuring six, in a linked attack. Those suspects wore fake bombs.
